Maharishi was founded by Hardy Blechman in 1994. The literal Sanskrit translation of maharishi is “Great Seer”, referring to the Rishis and their spiritual vision.
Applied to clothing, maharishi was launched with the intention of realizing a great environmental vision within fashion, founded on a collection of hemp and natural fibres, and expanding into recycling of military and workwear surplus, always in a quality and style that would last the test of time.
maharishi`s logo suggests the letter M and is based on an oblique three-quarter view of a traditional Eastern temple with a shaped roof.
The Temple M logo is a registered trademark of Hardy Blechman.
