maharishi London store:
2/3 Great Pulteney Street
London W1F 9AF
+44 207 287 0388
The five-floor, 5000 sq ft GPS building which houses the maharishi store was completely redesigned and remodelled by the French architect François Scali, whose previous work includes the Water Museum in Paris, the Mémorial d’Outre-Mer in Marseille and the Plaza de las Glories in Barcelona.Within the GPS building, which also houses a showroom and offices, Scali has taken out sections of the floor, creating voids and allowing space for mezzanines, resulting in the increase of natural light and overall floor space. In keeping with maharishi’s , camouflage is prevalent in the design of the interior, with a mosaic floor rendered in Maharishi’s ‘Bonsai Forest’ house camouflage pattern. The store also incorporates the DPMHI gallery space that has staged exhibitions featuring the works of Futura 2000, Andy Warhol, Michael Lau, WK interact, Neckface and many others.
