EVERYTHING FLOWS · BE HERE STILL
Maharishi’s latest collection continues the perennial exploration of duality and pacifist military design, combining Eastern and Western influences on a range of silhouettes including signature kimonos, trousers, and iterations of technical outerwear. Duality is a central pillar of Maharishi’s creative ethos, often represented through depictions of the Yin and Yang. The idea of two opposing forces finding balance in an infinite back-and-forth, simultaneously complementing and contradicting each other while connecting to the natural world, is displayed through the Panther-Chimera artwork. Each half represents a starting point for change, continuously chasing its counterpart in a never-ending search for equilibrium.
PANTHER CHIMERA
The Panther-Chimera artwork symbolises the duality within the Yin and Yang, a common theme and integral pillar in Maharishi’s creative narratives. Each represents a polar opposite, simultaneously complementing and contradicting each other in an endless search for balance whilst connecting with the natural world. Together, the two halves become whole and serve as a starting point for change.
UPCYCLED MILITARY SURPLUS
Military surplus is a permanent feature at Maharishi, transforming unwearable items into ready-to-wear garments and reclaiming them as symbols of peace rather than war. Clothing is smudged with herbal incense, blessed, and washed in saffron water to symbolically cleanse it of its military associations.
