Asymmetric wide-leg hakama pants in black, with cargo skirt layer incorporated. Constructed from upcycled military surplus fabrics.
Hakama trousers rose to prominence in Edo-period Japan. They were initially worn by higher classes of society, traditionally over Kimonos. Samurai had worn Hakama for protection, due to the garment allowing the wearer full range of motion and coverage when horseback riding.
