In celebration of the Andy Warhol exhibit taking place this summer at the Tate Modern, maharishi presents an exclusive collaborative capsule with the London gallery, and The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.

Garments feature Warhol’s Skull, 1976 series, highlighting the artist’s exploration of the duality between life and death. The Stadium Jacket is intricately embroidered with the iconic skull artwork – a poignant reminder of mortality – alongside screenprinted Original Snopants that combine colourways from each of the artworks.

maharishi creative director Hardy Blechman shares Warhol’s lifelong interest in the reclamation and subversion of imagery and iconography, with a similar disdain for fast fashion connecting the two creatives. The Stadium Jacket is constructed from an Organic Cotton Twill, a FairTrade, regenerative, and environmentally friendly fabric that has a lighter carbon footprint than non-organic cotton.

The release continues a longstanding relationship between maharishi and The Andy Warhol Foundation, with Warhol’s psychedelic camouflage forming the basis of the AW05 season.
