Maharishi Autumn/Winter 2026
Maharishi presents Autumn/Winter 2026, a continuation of Maharishi’s ongoing study of military archive, cultural lineage and pacifist design philosophy. Through a series of interconnected capsules, moving between Thailand and the military archives that have informed the house for over three decades, the collection recontextualises functional design and traditional visual languages through Maharishi’s pacifist approach.

Maha Tailor Shop continues Maharishi’s study of garment provenance, led by a special M65 jacket from Maharishi Costume Co. replicating the version made famous by Robert De Niro in Martin Scorsese’s 1976 film Taxi Driver.
DPM: Bonsai Shadow Tigerstripe draws from the rare 1970s Thai Shadow Tigerstripe camouflage, adapting the near-black pattern with elements representing nature and peace. The original camouflage later entered popular culture after famously being worn by members of The Clash during their 1982 Combat Rock tour of Thailand.

Thai Style explores Thailand’s craft, symbolism and field-influenced design through hand-machine embroidery and refined textile applications. The Maha Thai Naga (Sak Yant) artwork combines the protective geometry of Sak Yant with the Naga, a serpentine guardian associated with transformation, balance and protection.
Elsewhere, East / West brings traditional Eastern forms including Hanten shirts, kimonos and Japanese hakama pants into dialogue with Western military functionality, while Upcycled reconstructs surplus and archive garments into one-of-a-kind pieces, extending the lifecycle of existing materials through craft-led intervention.
These capsules sit alongside Maharishi’s enduring pillars: Pacifist Military Design, reclaiming the ingenuity of military clothing for peaceful use; Respect Nature / Utilise Technology, balancing natural harmony with technological progress; and MAHA, a refined system of functional everyday essentials.
