New Season

Maharishi launches its latest collection, fusing Eastern and Western influences and creating pieces that offer utility through enhanced functional features, whilst respecting the environment through the inclusion of eco-conscious fabric choices.

New Season New Season

The 'Everything is Recorded’ capsule features artwork from the latest album by the musical collective fronted by XL Recordings’ Richard Russell, entitled ‘Temporary’, with visuals by Maharishi’s Founder and Creative Director, Hardy Blechman. The cover art is combined with Maharishi’s rendition of Frederik De Wit’s ‘Planisphæri Cœleste’— a 17th-Century map of the stars and constellations from which the zodiac is drawn — and is used on signature MA1 flight jackets, organic cotton sweats and tees, and accessories.

De Wit’s work is also referenced in the Celeste capsule, which delves further into the historic influence of the zodiac in navigation, reinterpreting de Wit’s original planisphere from a more minimalist perspective; it includes the new signature DPM: Bonsai Constellation, in keeping with Maharishi’s renowned exploration of the art of camouflage.

The collection continues Maharishi’s annual celebration of the Lunar New Year through the 'Year of the Snake’ artwork and a series of guest-artist collaborations including work by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Kay One, Keo-X-Men, TEACH, and Toby Ziegler.

Duality is another integral theme referenced in the collection, with Ying-Yang-style illustrations of cobras demonstrating the dualistic nature of the universe. The designs are printed and hand-machine-embroidered across signature Original Snopants® and cargo pants, along with accessories and homeware.

Seasonal fabrics include British-made cotton-velvet, Japanese cotton sateen, and linen-cotton — as well as organic cotton and hemp. They have been used on signature silhouettes such as Original Snopants® and kimonos, as well as new variations of functional outerwear and knitwear.

The collection is available on 28th November online and in the London and New York stores.
