Black upcycled field jacket referencing M59s issued by the Swedish Army. Tailored throughout by darts and a reconstructed lapel to feature a kimono collar and centre-tie closure. Finished with hand-machined Battle Royale embroidery on reverse as well as a Maharishi motif on chest. An original feature of the jacket is a fastening strap that is passed through the legs to secure the jacket in high winds or jumping from an aircraft, it can be concealed at the back of the jacket when not in use.

symbolically cleanse it of its military associations.

    Kimonos are a staple across all Maharishi collections, with the Eastern silhouette often combined with military-style outerwear such as fishtail parkas and deck jackets.

    For SS24, styles are presented in signature hemp and organic cotton featuring celebratory artworks for Maharishi’s 30th anniversary. Also included are iterations made from upcycled military parachute surplus and Wagara Stripe Summer Kimonos woven and printed in Japan. Each one offers a central or asymmetric tie closure and a triple-stitched reinforced lapel.
