MAHARISHI Original Snopants®

Snopants® have long been established as Maharishi's signature trouser, having featured in every collection since 1996.

The style was loosely based on white U.S. Army Snow Camouflage over Trousers – intended to be worn over a full combat uniform as camouflage in snowy terrain. Maharishi improved the original design – adjusting the pattern, adding pocket bags, elasticated waist and hem adjustable ties.

The adapted style was renamed the ‘Original Snopant’ and incorporated the patented Snocord® System for concealment of excess cord and the Temple Bead, a one-part metal cord lock. Additional functionality was added in the form of the patented Snobutton® system, which allows the wearer to fully customise the trouser length and adjust the fit at both the waist and hems to suit their needs.

LOOSE-Fit Original Snopants®

Loose-fit Original Snopants®, cut from a organic cotton. Snocords® allow for a fully adjustable waist and hem, whilst darts at the knee provide an articulated shape for a free range of motion.

2: DPM: Bonsai Forest pocketbags and binding
3: Maha Snobutton® and Snocord® adjustment system
4: Interior crotch and ankle stash pocket
5: Internal epouletes to allow the pants to be converted into shorts
6: Internal media pouch inside right pocket
7: Secure concealed zip pocket

Embroidered Original Snopants®

Maharishi's signature Original Snopants® featuring seasonal hand machined embroideries.

Since 1994, hand-machine embroidery has been a mainstay throughout all Maharishi collections. Traditionally recognised as a form of decoration, embroidered artworks were commonly found embroidered on Sukajan (souvenir) style jackets.

Distinctive embroidery work was carried out by the Japanese for American GIs to bring home after the post-war occupation of Japan as literal souvenirs.

MAHA SNOCORD® AND SNOBUTTON® SYSTEM

Since 1994 Maharishi have included a focus on utility and functionality within garment design.

The Snocord® system ensures both the waist and hem are fully adjustable, while excess drawcord is concealed within the hand pockets or small internal pockets inside the hem - providing clean lines and ensuring cords aren’t caught on door handles
or bike wheels.

Once the cord is adjusted to the desired length, its locked with the patented Temple Ball - a unique single part metal bead, produced exclusively for Maharishi in Switzerland by long-term military metal zip manufacturer, Riri.

The Snobutton® system works with internal
Epaulettes to allow the pants to be converted into ¾ or knee length shorts.

STRAIGHT-FIT Snopants®

Straight-fit variant of the Original Snopant®, constructed from a lightweight organic cotton, shares the same fit adjustability through the Snocord and Snobutton systems, leg articulation for freedom of movement and hidden stash pockets.
