Ever since the brand’s conception in the mid 1990s, maharishi has highlighted the environmental benefits of recycling. By aquiring rejected fabrics and surplus from global militaries and repurposing it through overdying, screen-printing, embroidering and more, garments are cleansed of their military associations and re-presented as symbols of beauty, rather than of war.

In keeping with the ethos of ‘respect nature: utilise technology’ maharishi continues to advance in recycling military surplus – the latest efforts being Upcycled in London. Comprised of U.S. Army liners, Italian Military knits, and Austrian M65 jackets and cargo pants, each piece has been locally embellished with maharishi Tiger Patches and MAHARISHI name tape.
