Classic tour-style embroideries celebrate the Maha Tailor shop's Alaskan Tour; detailed polar bear motifs, framed with rocker-style wordmarks and polar bear sleeve patch are featured across the jacket. The liner features an all-over map of the northern hemisphere on diamond quilting.
The Bering Strait capsule references the natural border between Russia and Alaska that symbolises the meeting point of East and West. Historically the narrow sea through which ancient Asian peoples travelled to become the first indigenous Americans, the strait embodies the convergence of two worlds—geographically, culturally, and historically.
This inspiration is brought to life through intricately embroidered designs, including yin-yang-inspired bears that represent the merging of polar opposites, a concept at the heart of Maharishi’s philosophy.
